Proud to have worked for these companies

What do I enjoy the most in my work?
I love meeting new people and working together with them, especially from different countries. Over the past few years, I have often gotten the opportunity to work with people from different backgrounds and nationalities. I discovered working with people from various backgrounds and cultures has been so much fun and was beneficial for my personal development. It has exposed me to new ideas, perspectives, and ways of life. It makes you look different from the things you are used to, therefore it also helps creativity in product development teams. Working with people from different cultures has challenged my assumptions and encouraged critical thinking, leading to personal growth and development.
What thrives me about UX?
The opportunity to make a positive impact and I get to see the impact of what I do. Seeing my design proposals used by end-users during the usability test is rewarding. Knowing that it is going to be used by millions of users makes it even more exciting. Solving complex problems. Multi-faceted problem-solving never gets boring. UX design involves tackling challenging problems and finding creative solutions that meet the needs of users and stakeholders. The opportunity to learn and grow. The field of UX is constantly evolving, and we as designers have the opportunity to learn new skills and techniques

Concepting & Strategy
Generating ideas and prototypes for new products or features, with the goal of creating user-centered designs that meet the needs and expectations of the target audience. This process often involves brainstorming sessions, sketching, and creating low-fidelity prototypes to test and refine concepts. The end result is a clear and compelling vision for a product that is grounded in a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors.
Information Architecture
Focusing on organizing and structuring the content and functionality of a digital product or service. Creating a clear hierarchy and logical structure for a product often represented visually using tools such as wireframes, sitemaps, and flowcharts. It is an important aspect of (UX) design, as it helps users easily find and understand the information they need.
Accessibility
While designing I try to always have accessibility in mind. It allows people with disabilities to use and access digital products and services. Statistics from the European Commission and the United Nations show that about 20% of the world's population has a temporary or permanent disability. These people may have difficulty using the internet. By designing products with accessibility in mind, we can ensure that everyone, regardless of their abilities, can use and benefit from the product.

Guy Hesselink
Senior Designer at Sunweb
"Joshua is curious and is always open to new knowledge and information. He also actively looks for ways to test whether what he is doing is right, which he does in various forms. Joshua is not afraid to try new things, like facilitating a team session in Girona with the developers. Or like the usability test he did together with the UX Reseacher. In this, he is also very open to the outcomes and really makes use of them."

Vincent Lafeber
Product Owner MyCargo & AFKLCargo.com at KLM
"Joshua has a great eye for design and is capabale to work in different tools to make a life like design that we can sell before it is actually developed by our developers. This helps us in achieving a first time right product. Joshua works hard and fast, it was really nice having a UX designer next to me so we could quickly tweak and tune our to be products and keep up our pace of our agile high pressure team, even though it took a few dozen versions. Soon we will go live with a new chapter in myCargo called Allotments which is fully designed by Joshua (with help of master @bjorn post). Joshua is a good listener and a great team player. We will miss him.''

Thijs Weitkamp
Product Owner CoronaMelder at the Ministery of Health
"It's a pleasure working with Joshua. Joshua is proactive, pleasant to deal with, quick of understanding, works in a planned way, asks questions and comes up with ideas, and has a lot of knowledge of digital solutions and mobile apps. He quickly mastered the CoronaMelder solution and so did the assignment he was hired for. His delivered design, and associated prototypes, met the expectations and were tested in a user test. After further refinement, that design is currently being implemented."
